Music Magic

Music is always a part of my classroom.  When my students walk in, I always have a song playing, and 99 percent of the time, it is a Christian song.  I am careful in the selection of songs I choose.  Some of my favorite Christian songs simply cannot be played for students to hear due to laws of Separation of Church and State.  Any reference to Jesus or the cross is something I stay away from; however, there are plenty of what I call safe songs that simply are positive, uplifting, and teach good character.  All you have to do is look them up on YouTube!  Here are some of those songs:

  1. “Speak Life” by Toby Mac
  2. “Live Like Your Loved” by Hawk Nelson
  3. “Brother” by Needtobreathe
  4. “Words” by Hawk Nelson
  5. “Priceless” by For King and Country
